When I checked my Etsy messages today I found one from a the desinger of this fabric
Her name is Patricia Bravo and I have had her fabric swatches up in my shop for custom made crib bedding. I was shocked to see that she was impressed with what I do and wanted to feature me on her new blog. It is not everyday you get the designer of the fabrics contacting you about using their lines. I love her fabric lines! They are unique and fun to use. I just finished a bumper in the #10 & #11. Gorgeous!
So if you have time, pop on over to her blog and check out what she had to say about Fingers & Toes!

Hooded Towels
Before my daughter was born, I got a hooded towel as a gift from one of my room moms( I used to teach 1st grade). She made it out of a hand towel and a bath towel. And it is our favorite towel for bath time. I used the store bought ones for awhile when she was really little, but soon realized I liked the big comfy hooded towel.
It works perfect to wrap her up in and it is so much more absorbent than the baby towels you get at the store. She is now 13 1/2 months old and we are still using it and she will use it even longer. That is what is so great about them, they are perfect for little babies all the way up to your school aged children.
So I started making my own version and came up with these! I love them and am super excited to announce that they will be sold on www.babycottagegifts.com.
The site is in the process of moving from an older site but is open for business. My towels, along with my bedding, will be sold on there soon. I have a lot more coming that will match some of the lines they carry in their shop. Here are some of the popular fabrics they use that I will be making my hooded towels with.

you asked---you got it!
I have been asked many times if I make nursing covers so I thought I would finally do so. I have had the stuff to make it, but I kept using the fabric to make other things. But now it is time and I don't know why I waited so long...they are so easy to make and not to mention they serve a great purpose.
So here are the first 2!
Keep checking back in my shop to see the latest nursing covers!
Also coming soon----The Dine Out Mat!
I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten a spoon or bib when we go out to eat. Once I used the lid to the baby food(the plastic ones), folded it in half and scooped the food into my daughters mouth. It worked, but it was so messy...luckily I didn't forget the bib too!
Anyway, so I came up with The Dine Out Mat. It is a place mat with cotton on one side, and vinly on the other(coming soon, chalk vinyl, so your child can play while you wait...perfect for travel by plane or car...keep 'em busy!). It has a pocket to hold a plastic spoon, fork, travel wipes, and a bib...made by fingers and toes....ALL included with the mat! It folds up nicely into a small clutch size and can fit in any diaper bag or your purse.
These Dine Out Mats will make your life a little easier when you can hold all your little one's feeding needs in one place. I know I will be enjoying it!
The one above is the PROTOTYPE...which is for sale on Etsy...for only $15(normally $30). I had to play around a little to make it just right, and of course the first one never turns out right. So I am selling it for half price, if you want it and don;t mind little imperfections.
Keep checking back for more. And like I said before, I will be making them with chalk vinyl so your child has something to do while waiting.

Crib Bedding
This last month I have been super busy with custom orders and there has been one set in particular that has been a hit. This one...
This is City Girl Fabric and I made one back in February which sold immediately and I just finished 2 more and I am working on 1. This fabric is a hit and luckily is still being produced. So if you like it, get it while it's hot!
Don't forget to take a look at some other great fabrics to customize your little one's nursery with.
Also, because the Oh Sweet Sadie Art & Gift Show I just did was such a success( I will be doing them again for sure!)...I want to produce some more crib bedding, already made, for my shop. Here is what I am thinking. I would love your thoughts if you have any. It is so hard to pick the fabric...there are so many fun choices.

It is time once again for another craft show. I am excited about this one and have heard a lot of hype about it. The interesting part is that the show is hosted in model homes. So people just set up in all the rooms, garages, etc. Different atmosphere to give it a different feel.
If you are local come check it out! Should be a great show!!!
